Zoe & Casey

ABOUT THE WEDDING

This was not your typical wedding. Seventy people at Secret Gardens, surrounded by trees and candles, and a soundtrack that lived somewhere between a witchy renaissance faire, tribal house party, and Burning Man sunrise set, with drill and hardstyle pushing the edges.

It turned into a full drill fueled experience, leading to five or six custom edits built to weaponize specific songs for maximum impact. Dropping Skrillex and hardstyle at exactly the right moments turned the dance floor into a series of controlled explosions and made this one of the most creatively satisfying weddings worked on all year.

Ceremony

Zoe and Casey dreamed of a magical fairy garden vibe and the moment couldn’t have captured that vision more perfectly. With the enchanting backdrop of Secret Gardens and the right musical curation, we immersed everyone in an atmosphere that mirrored their love: natural, magical, and deeply connected. The whole scene ended up being such a great conversation piece, sparking laughter and connection among their guests throughout the night.

Cocktail Hour Vibes

The magic happens before the dancing starts when I play at wedding. During cocktail hour, my guitar brings me into your guests' conversations and connections. We have amazing conversations and create moments and builds trust. That trust transforms into dance floor energy, they’re not following a stranger's playlist; they're dancing with someone they already know.

Custom DJ Edits

I love personalizing every wedding I do to the couple I am playing for. For Zoe and Casey, who told me they love tribal house, I created a custom edit of Me and U from their playlist. It starts true to the original, then gradually builds with tribal percussion and a lifted tempo, helping me shift the energy from smooth and vibey to start to build the energy for the night.

Bouquet Dedication

Esme has spoken at standout events including the Brand Like a Rebel Virtual Summit, The Copywriters Collective Live, the Bold Voices Women’s Forum in London, CreativeMornings, and High/Low: The Art of Elevating Everyday Brands. Whether virtual or in-person, her sessions are consistently described as high-impact, refreshingly honest, and packed with the kind of actionable wisdom that gets quoted long after the slides disappear.

Playing For All

One question I hear often from couples is, “Can you get our parents and our friends dancing to the same music?” Absolutely!
I focus on connecting with everyone early in the day and ease in with songs that feel welcoming to everyone Once the vibe is right, you never know your parents might surprise you and end up dancing to a little Too Short!

Couples Playlist

Every couple brings their own musical flavor, and I love building moments that reflect that and connect it with their guests. I blended a remix of "Purple Hat” into a more current hit I knew the guests would like using wordplay. The result was the perfect track at the perfect moment “Not Like Us” . Itcaptured the crowd’s excitement and reflected the couple’s unique style.

Musical Journey

Zoe and Casey’s playlist was a journey through their musical world hip hop, bass music, drill, and everything in between (yes everything). Each genre sparking a unique energy from vibing in to "No Broke Boys", loosing it in bass, to partying with "Goodies". As a bonus here is one of my favorite transitions from "Body" to "Next Episode".
